Cake Workshop Info

                                      American Buttercream Frosting

1 lb butter-unsalted (preferably Whole Foods because the color of the butter is lighter) Any will work

1Tsp vanilla or almond extract

2 lbs (1 Pkg) confectioners sugar

2 Tablespoons heavy cream (and use water if need to substitute)

Put butter Room Temperature in bowl and smooth

Add pinch of salt

Add vanilla

Slowly add confectioners’ sugar little by little on lowest speed to incorporate

Once incorporated add heavy cream and whip for about 2-3 minutes

        Bring to c lass

6 or 8 inch cake ( once put together should be around 3-4 inches high)

Please bring Room Temperature  Frosting

 Rubber spatula or spoon

 We will be giving out turntables, decorating tips, and pastry bags, etc.

 Feel free to bring anything else .

You are welcome to go online and bring another type of buttercream, however, look for the one for decorating cakes.
